WELCOME!
We invite you to experience the transformational power and synergy of practicing relational mindfulness.
Relational Mindfulness Collaborative (RMC) is a global community of mindfulness meditation teachers who offer programs for teaching and learning interpersonal mindfulness practices.
As human beings, we are relational in deep and primal ways. Our survival rests upon being seen and cared for by others. From our earliest days, patterns of relating take form. A life of relating with others includes our greatest joys and sorrows. As two or more meditators meet in meditation, awareness and compassion grow within each individual, and also, in the connection that unfolds with mindfulness, patience, openness and deep listening. This mutual, present moment awareness can shine light on limiting patterns as well as gently ease toward greater release.
On this site you will find different entryways and resources for learning and practicing relational awareness.
These are:
The Interpersonal Mindfulness Program (IMP)
The Interpersonal Mindfulness Program (IMP) offers relational mindfulness practice that brings together meditative awareness, teachings of human psychology and wisdom, and insight into the causes, conditions, and release of human suffering. Based on the Insight Dialogue (ID) guidelines and an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) framework, it helps to bridge the gap between everyday life and meditation.
The program reveals the power of deep listening and mindful attuning to our inner worlds and outer relationships in moments of relational contact.
The program consists of:
Orientation
Eight weekly 2 ½ hour classes
Day-long session
Support for between-session and post-program relational mindfulness practice in one’s life
Teachers: The IMP is taught by MBSR, MBCT, and MBP teachers who: have completed the Interpersonal Mindfulness Program Teacher Training (IMPTT), completed six+ hours of IMP supervision, and participate in ongoing silent and Insight Dialogue meditation retreats.
